James Burton è uno dei primi maestri della Telecaster e gode ancora di grande successo. Ha influenzato generazioni di grandi chitarristi rock con il suo perfetto fraseggio Tele fine anni ’50/inizio anni ’60, quando suonava con Ricky Nelson, mentre le sue collaborazioni successive con Elvis Presley, Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello e molti altri non hanno fatto che aumentare il suo status di decano venerato. Il suo è stato il primo modello Telecaster firmato, e la James Burton Telecaster dei nostri giorni è più focosa che mai, con tre pickup, selettore speciale, hardware dorato, favolose finiture in tiglio fiammato e altro ancora.
